Each year in May the
Southlake Kiwanis Club
volunteers host the Kiwanis Run for the Kids (K2) 5K fun run.
A community-centered event, this "run for kids" raises money for community
organizations and service projects benefiting local youth.
While the 5Krun is the centerpiece of the K2 event there are activities to
be enjoyed by the entire family.
RACE HISTORY The
2010 race was held at
Southlake Town Square and had
more than 350 entrants. The event raised over $40,000. Race logistics were
coordinated by Run Time Racing Services of Fort Worth who also manages The Cowtown
Marathon and many other local races.
ABOUT KIWANIS Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the
world one child and one community at a time. Kiwanis believes the most

you give a child a chance to learn, experience, dream, and succeed,
great things will happen.
